Chaohong Sculpture

A workshop photograph can tell a different story from a finished installation image. Chaohong’s archive includes views of a large architectural relief panel during assembly and a closer view of its raised surface. Together, they help a project team discuss both the complete composition and the detail that gives it depth.

Read the whole panel first

The wide view shows how ships, waves and architectural forms sit within one long panel. Before choosing a finish or discussing a final setting, the overall rhythm and legibility of a relief need to be clear at the intended viewing distance.

A detail view makes the raised forms and surface changes easier to see.

Then inspect the surface

The closer view draws attention to changes in relief depth and texture. These are the details a single overall photograph can hide. A useful review set therefore includes a full view and selected close-ups rather than only one polished image.

For a comparable commission, provide the wall or site dimensions, the artwork or design reference, the expected viewing distance and the desired material and finish. Any structural fixing, transport and on-site responsibilities should be confirmed for that specific project.
